Delete Your Bead Board Account

You can request deletion of your Bead Board account and all associated data at any time. This page explains exactly how to do it and what gets removed.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Bead Board on iOS, Android, or the web.
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and personal data are removed immediately. Backups are purged within 30 days.

Option 2: Email us

If you can't sign in, email [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

The following data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request:

  • Your user account and login credentials
  • Your name, email address, and profile information
  • All jobs, quotes, invoices, photos, time entries, and notes you created
  • Customer records you created
  • Price list items you saved
  • Shop data (if you are the sole owner of the shop)
  • Email preferences and notification settings
  • Session tokens and device records

What is kept

  • Shop data (if others remain): If other members are still part of your shop, the shop and its jobs stay intact. Only your personal account is removed from the shop's member list.
  • Billing records: Invoices and payment records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws. These records do not contain your login credentials or app content.
  • Anonymized logs: Security and audit logs may retain anonymized traces (no personal identifiers) for up to 90 days for abuse prevention.

Timeline

  • Immediate: Account deactivated, you can no longer sign in
  • Within 30 days: Personal data purged from production databases and backups
  • Up to 90 days: Anonymized security logs expire
  • Up to 7 years: Billing records retained for legal compliance only
